Every year in the beginning of January, in the colonial town of Chiapa de Corzo in the magnificent southernmost Mexican state of Chiapas, there is an indigenous festival which has survived the colonial occupation. One aspect of this fiesta, sanctioned by the Church, is the crossdressing of men from differing sexual orientations. These are some snapshots from a procession which begins at the Church and winds through some narrow streets.
